Job Description
The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at the University of Arizona-Tucson and Banner University Medical Group is actively seeking one or more Comprehensive, Contact Lens or Pediatric Optometrists to join our growing Department.
Position Detail:
The selected individual(s) will have a focus on specialty contact lenses, or pediatrics or comprehensive eye care, depending on training and experience. Clinical services are provided at the Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson, with 9 half-daily clinical sessions per week. Our ophthalmology residency program has 4 residents per year and an enthusiastic commitment to teaching is desired. The preferred candidate(s) will also possess an interest in clinical research.
The position will have an academic faculty appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson - College of Medicine at a rank consistent with the candidates credentials.
Minimum Requirements:
Comprehensive Optometry training or experience
- Doctorate degree program in Optometry from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education of the American Optometric Association
Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Arizona State Board of Optometry
For a position with Contact lens or Pediatric Focus, corresponding Residency training
