Overview:

Critical Care Resource Nurses utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 year of crital care nursing 
• Licensure: Current RN License in the state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. NIHSS; if new to the unit, the nurse will obtain within the first three months of employment in Critical Care.
• Other: Completes Hospital and nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Nurse Manager/Education Coordinator.
• Preferred Education: BSN
