Pipe Fitter

This is a full-time, direct placement role at AJR Industrial Services.

Accomplished candidate will fill pipe fitting role with mechanical contractor in Memphis area for local work (vast majority of work is within 2-hour radius of Memphis, TN). Primary role will be to layout and fit piping and structural components in field environments for final weld out. Most work will be industrial jobsite centered within chemical plants and food plants with limited shop work at West Memphis office. Typical AJR pipe welding projects include &fac12;"-12" diameter stainless and carbon steel in schedules 10 and 40 with additional schedule 80 and sanitary tube fab opportunities. Typical structural projects will include access platforms, pipe support bridges, handrail, and equipment bases in both stainless and carbon steel.

In addition to fitting, position will also include piping and structural installations, demo, and other typical mechanical contractor work. While focus will be spent on fitting requirements, when fitting activities are not needed candidate must be open to all field work responsibilities typical of a mechanical contractor.

Requirements

• Dependable transportation to and from jobsites

• Ability to be on-time on consistent basis

• Clean drug test at time of hire plus random drug testing

• Basic trade-specific hand tools (AJR provides all other tools and equipment)

• Flexibility to work overtime (most overtime opportunities are voluntary but occasional overtime may be required based on specific project timelines)

Salary Description

$28-32/hr
