Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer that will utilize AutoPipe to perform stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code in Ogden, UT.

Cimarron is proud to support the Northrop Grumman/Bechtel team in the design of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system, the Sentinel, for the US Air Force. Sentinel is a vital Department of Defense program that modernizes the nation's aging Minuteman III ICBM weapon system, which is the ground leg of the US nuclear triad. As part of Bechtel's team, we provide launch system design, construction, and integration.

This is an onsite position.

Key Duties:

• Provide piping stress/support.
• Perform calculations, and create drawings, stress analysis models (Autopipe), and 3D model families (Revit).
• Coordinate with the Structural team for point loads and support design.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• 5 or more years of related experience.
• Ability to review piping layouts and support requirements per DoD standards/ASME B31.3, and approve designs.
• Experience with AutoPipe within the last 3 years.
• Knowledge of Dynamic Analysis.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited course of study.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Active Secret clearance.
• Good knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.
• Experience with Dynamic Analysis.
• P.E. registration.
• Previous DoD project experience for Risk Category 5 facilities.
• Previous Bechtel and/or DoD project experience.
