Pizza chef

Overview We are seeking an experienced pizza maker with at least 5 years experience making NY style pizza. You will be working along side our founder, Joe, who has more than 35 years in the pizza business. We are a new restaurant and there is tremendous growth opportunity. Responsibilities • Prepare a variety of pizzas and trendy pizza creations (calzones, pinwheels, garlic knots, sicilian pizza, rolls) according to established recipes and menus. • Oversee food handling and food preparation processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed for daily operations. • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. • Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and food presentation. • Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards. Experience • Proven experience as a pizza maker. • Strong knowledge of dough making techniques. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Certification in food safety.
