About The Job
Dudek is seeking a mid-level climate resilience planner to join our planning and urban design group, which works collaboratively with experts across all disciplines to provide a range of climate adaptation, hazard mitigation, and environmental justice planning documents. We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, creative, inquisitive, and detail-oriented individuals. A successful candidate will enjoy working on a wide-range of projects and creating custom solutions to meet the legislative, socio-economic, and environmental needs of the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare climate adaptation and environmental justice planning documents, including Climate Adaptation Plans, Climate Action Plans, Environmental Justice Analysis, and focused Comprehensive Plan Updates.
- Facilitate and support community engagement.Â
- Conduct GIS and technical analysis.Â
- Research applicable State laws, funding opportunities, and local ordinances.Â
- Collect and interpret scientific, socio-economic, and public outreach data.Â
- Prepare maps and graphics using ArcGIS and the Adobe Suite.Â

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in City and Regional Planning or related fieldÂ
- Ability to collaboratively work in a team settingÂ
- Ability to independently research legislative requirements, environmental conditions, and socio-economic dataÂ
- Ability to initiate draft documentsÂ
- Excellent verbal communication skillsÂ
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skillsÂ
- Knowledge of west coast planning and development lawÂ
- Working knowledge of GIS and the Adobe SuiteÂ
- 2-4 years experience in planning or similar field

- Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning, or related field

Physical Requirements
Working Conditions:
- This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
- This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

- This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

Proposed Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 annually *
$33.65-$40.86 hourly*
*Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
