Duties & Responsibilities:

The Planner/Scheduler position is responsible for scheduling and monitoring production and capacity planning for manufacturing in support of customer demand. Key Interfaces: Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Program Manager, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Production Planning: Review Sales Orders, Capacity, and Material, Update Sales Order W/Promise & Schedule Date.
  • Sales Orders Management: Pull-ins, Pushouts, Release & Apply Holds & Reasons; status updates to Customer Service
  • Capacity Management: Prepare & Monitor Change Schedules, Leveling based on capacity availability
  • DDMRP: Demand Driven MRP Planning for limited set of products
  • Work Order Management: Create and manage work orders for finished goods and sub-assemblies
  • Monitoring & Documenting Sales Order Risks
  • Inventory Management: Plan production builds using lot sizing, safety stock and strategic and consignment inventory guidelines.
  • Revenue Management: Working with Operations to balance resources, customer requirements, and revenue goals

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent work experience preferred
  • APICS education/certification preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate easily and effectively
  • Able to operate with undefined and non-traditional planning processes
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and lead process improvements
  • Experience in Oracle, OBIEE, Camstar MES, Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, PowerPoint strongly preferred
