About the Role:

As Dr. Squatch surges into mass market retailers and experiences unprecedented growth, the complexity of our business is increasing. We’re looking for a Planning & Analytics Sr. Associate to create dynamic forecasting models that will support our ambitious expansion and drive strategic success. Join us to play a key role in navigating this exciting growth phase!

This role will report to the Sr. Director of Strategic Operations

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based out of Squatch HQ in Marina del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $100,000 to $120,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local market rate

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and Enhance Forecasting Models: Build and refine forecasting models in Excel / Google Sheets to predict supply needs across various channels, products, and regions, using imperfect/incomplete data.
  • Utilize Judgment in Forecasting: Apply industry expertise and business acumen to interpret forecasts and make adjustments as needed as business needs change (i.e. Growth in new regions, entry into new Retailers, etc.). Run scenario analyses to enable business decisions as needed.
  • Communicate Forecast Assumptions: Clearly document and communicate the assumptions, limitations, and uncertainties of forecasting models to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Inventory Management Enablement: Work cross functionally to develop inventory management strategies and programs to ensure maximum inventory turns, high quality, and consistent support to manufacturing.
  • Enable Supply Visibility: Drive Synergies with sales, marketing, Ecomm, and production through processes and tools (i.e. dashboarding) to enable business to make growth decisions.
  • Inventory & Cash Flow Forecasting: Develop in conjunction with Procurement/Finance the department operating budgets consistent with goals and objectives (i.e. Inventory  + Cash Flow forecasting).
  • Generate Actionable Insights: Produce reports and dashboards that translate forecast data into actionable insights for rest of business (i.e. Excess & Obsolete inventory reporting).

About You:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Quantitative Analysis, Business Administration, or other related fields is preferred
  • At least 3-4 years of work experience in supply/demand forecasting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail 
  • Proficient with Google Sheets
  • Experience with the supply chain and/or manufacturing operations of a consumer product manufacturer
  • Effective and fast-moving. Knows what details matter and what do not, and how to prioritize accordingly
  • Highly detailed, organized, and structured problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast-paced learner and self-starter, comfortable operating in a startup environment
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
  • Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
