Overview
ThePlanning and Inventory Analystis responsible for executing the forecasting, planning and inventory tracking and management processes of raw materials (food ingredients and packaging) for a culinary business operation. You will help to develop and execute short-term inventory position strategies and longer-term raw material demand planning for the businessβ Supply Chain. You will work with Procurement, Restaurant Operations, and External Suppliers to ensure the successful execution of the purchase, receipt and inventory management of raw materials. You will also help ensure compliance with ordering and raw material parameters such as MOQβs and shelf-life to help the business manage and optimize cost of sales while avoiding stock-outs. Other core responsibilities include the data management of new raw material suppliers, new materials, current suppliers and materials within internal planning systems.
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with chefs/R&D and Restaurant Ops to forecast demand for raw materials (food ingredients and packaging) based on sales data, menu planning, and expected customer volume.
β’ Maintain master data, price updates, supplier updates, etc. in internal data management systems as required.
β’ Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation data and implement strategies at the restaurant and warehouse levels to minimize waste and maintain appropriate stock levels.
β’ Utilize internal procurement software to help manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain supplier and raw material information.
β’ Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
β’ Responsible for drawing attention to any risks to the business driven by any potential challenges regarding inventory availability, PO deliveries, and/or restaurant demand.
β’ Participate in evolution and maintaining of documentation of processes and procedures (e.g. SOPs, work instructions) for planning activities as needed.
β’ Adhere to company policies and procedures related to procurement processes.
Qualifications and Skills
β’ B.A./B.S. in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
β’ 1-4 years of experience with forecasting, demand planning, goods management (preferably within the food service sector).
β’ Strong communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills mainly utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze data and make decisions.
β’ Strong drive to stay organized and move swiftly to accomplish priorities and solve problems with excellent attention to detail.
β’ Ability to work well autonomously and be self-directed as well as collaborate in a cross-functional/team environment.
β’ Comfort with procurement software and inventory management systems such as SAP.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 per year
