Planning & Insights Manager

Job Summary:

The Planning & Insights Manager role is responsible for leading the strategy development, the associated build-out of the related people, process and technology support, as well as the relationship management for Ruggable’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Long-term, this role will also focus on development of a formal demand planning function to support the transfer of the marketing forecast into a plan that is actionable by downstream supply chain partners (procurement, manufacturing, etc.)

This role will lead strategic projects, focused on collaborating with both upstream and downstream planning partners, to build out: short-term forecasting processes, inventory management improvements, long-range plans, capital plans, annual operating plans, and supply chain network strategy plans and associated model builds.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a process-oriented individual, who is strategic by nature, who also excels in building cross-functional relationships and using data to drive decision-making. You will also need to be able to operate independently, in a fast-paced, startup environment, while utilizing strong communication skills across a variety of functions and organizational levels.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of an end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
• Support forecast development and plan transfer process by serving as the supply chain conduit with upstream and downstream partners
• Develop planning KPI strategy to quantitatively align with financial goals of the organization
• Identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain inventory and capacity planning process to support metric adherence and cost savings
• Problem-solve potential upstream planning issues, their impact on the downstream supply chain, and create solutions through root cause analysis
• Create and maintain planning models to forecast production and buying needs
• Support advancement of Planning Technology roadmap through recommendation into technology and automation to support the planning process
• Lead financial planning and forecasting process within the supply chain; support FP&A partners with monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process for supply chain

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

• 3-5+ years of professional experience working in global supply chain, planning, or operations
• Proven track record of people leadership and development
• Strong project management with high attention to detail
• Experience building trust-based relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience conducting quantitative analysis (modeling) that can drive to data insights and results
• Experience with capital and financial planning methodologies
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with the Microsoft / Google Suites
• Experience in or willingness to get familiar with NetSuite
• Experience with managing multiple projects concurrently and managing multiple deadlines
• Comfort working in a fast-paced growth environment with competing priorities

Preferred:

• APICS certification
• Experience with network strategy / modeling tools (LLamasoft, JDA)
• Experience with SQL,, Python and similar data tools
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, and similar data visualization tools
• Experience with Supply Chain Systems are a big plus - including but not limited to ERP systems, Planning Systems, Materials Requirement Planning Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Product Lifecycle Management Systems
