Plant Engineering Manager

Job Description:

• Engineering oversight of the production facility.
• Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects.
• Work with Corporate Safety, Quality, and Industrial teams to encourage open communication, teamwork, and culture at the production facility.
• Allocate resources effectively when assigning projects based on skills and knowledge of the team.
• Assist with implementation of best practices, process, and tools to improve efficiency.
• Investigate and adopt new ideas to improve safety, team performance and product quality.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 yrs experience required 
• 4-year technical degree, in an electrical, electronics or mechanically oriented curriculum
• Must enjoy hands on product exposure
• Experience with machining, lathes, and tooling is preferred
• Electrical skills and experience not necessary, but beneficial
• AutoCAD or similar software a must
• Must have a continuous improvement mentality
• Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills a must
• Strong desire to please the customer with perfect product quality and to maintain a safe work environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work standing for extended periods of time
• Required to use ladder, forklift or other means to acquire parts for product assembly
• Able to use power & hand tools, as well as electrical testing and measuring equipment
• Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds independently
