Plant Quality Supervisor - Weekend Shift

Purpose and Key Accountability: ​

The Plant Quality Supervisor will supervise QA staff while conducting and implementing QA procedures & programs that monitor the Operation’s Key Performance Indicators, control points and ensure that our products meet specifications.  The supervisor will review in-process testing and finished goods and work with our manufacturing team to ensure consistency and product quality.   The quality assurance supervisor will work closely with all aspects of our manufacturing organization, especially supervisors and line leads in other departments.  They will help manage technical files and documents associated with Meati's FSQR program and will be essential to the successful management of QA staff.​

• Coordinates the collection, testing and measurement of in-process and finished goods in accordance with the requirements of Meati FSQR program​
• Supervises, conducts and/or monitors in-process and finished goods product​
• Signs off on documents that capture critical control points, compliance and lot traceability​
• Helps plan and carry out the environmental monitoring/testing program at the facility​
• Helps diagnose failures in cleaning & sanitation or breaks in sterlity and helps determine root cause through sound experimental design and reasoning based on results​
• Helps implement new QA procedures and programs as needed when new manufacturing equipment or new products come on-line.​
• Evaluates Certificate of Analyses of raw materials and releases raw materials/finished goods in NetSuite.​
• Verification and validation of equipment processes and sanitary operation​
• Maintain required plant quality documentation and recordkeeping​
• Foreign material control and root cause investigation of foreign materials found in manufacturing​
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and government regulations and build, lead, and manage performance of plant FSQR staff.​
• Manage daily pre-operational, operational, and mid-shift inspections​
• Updated batch records and recipes upon request from R&D or Commercial team.  Maintains oversight and control of the Version History of Recipes & SOPs.​
• Ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures ​

Qualifications:​

• Bachelor’s degree in Food  Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field​
• 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance for a food/beverage company with increasing levels of responsibility​
• Microbiological lab experience, is preferred but not required​
• Action-oriented, results-focused individual with can-do attitude ​
• Rigorous attention to detail​
• Problem solving, Organizational and Analytical skills​

​Physical Requirements:​

• Ability to stand frequently​
• Work in wet environment

Schedule:

This position works a 12-hour, rotating 3x4, 4x3 schedule with varying start times of 6am, 7am or 8am to see all shift starts.  Standard days are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Compensation:  
The base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $92,400 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a shift differential, potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.   ​​
