The Intel Automotive team is chartered to transform the automotive market by solving our customers toughest challenges with innovative hardware and software product offerings. Silicon as a percent of a vehicle's BOM is expected to grow from 5 percent today to 20 percent by the end of the decade. It is our goal to capture this increased share with Intel silicon solutions, supported by SW products that complement our silicon products. The Intel Automotive group is looking for a Senior Technical Leader to drive the definition of its next generation Automotive Platform.
In this role you will be responsible for defining and pathfinding the end-to-end Platform including packaged silicon with CPU/GPU/NPU Compute technologies, SW stack and safety critical systems for the automotive industry that meet the product vision and the business needs. You will be providing the technical direction to domain architects, product management, SOC, SW and modelling and performance teams and responsible for architectural governance and decisions related to product technology and platform tradeoffs as part of a cross functional architecture decision group. You will also be engaging with customers on technical requirements/discussions and interact with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine product priorities. You will also be working with cross-functional teams on architecture decomposition and guide teams in system engineering methodologies for development, integration, and verification. You will be shaping the future products/solutions by significantly contributing to the architecture and technology employed throughout the compute continuum and provide multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in high performance x86, ARM and/or GPU based computer systems
- 5+ years of hands on experience in building automotive systems
- 3+ years of experience with System Architecture concepts and design patterns
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
- 5+ years of experience with Linux software development
- 5+ years of experience with the design of developer platforms/kits
- 5+ years of experience working in a customer facing Systems Engineering role
- Broad knowledge of Automotive Vehicle System Architecture, automotive electronics, interfaces, and protocols used in automotive domain
- Deep knowledge of the functional components (both HW and SW) for in-vehicle and autonomous vehicle use-cases
- Knowledge and experience with Automotive safety standards
- Experience in design and/or implementation of E2E architectures and solutions
- Experience handling and compiling requirements from multiple sources into a coherent set of platform requirements
- Necessary skills to lead pathfinding activities on HW and SW level to validate technical concept
- Experience leading cross-functional teams located in different geos

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in
US, California:$156,410.00-$250,410.00
Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
