Tempus Biological Modeling is building the world’s largest patient-derived organoid library to evaluate real world data observations by constructing large scale data sets of molecular and experimental data. Tempus Biological Modeling is actively engaging with partners in the Life Science industry, and we seek a Data Analyst to derive insights from our operations and databases.

What You'll Do:

• Develop code to automate of wet lab processes, dry lab processes, and database updates and maintain this and other code in appropriate GitHub repositories
• Analyze and develop data driven solutions to optimize data workflows
• Act as a technical resource for personnel using modeling operations codebase(s)
• Data engineering–creating tools and strategies for simplifying data access
• Work with team members on optimization and integration of existing databases e.g.  QuickBase, Mosaic, OPUS, LIMS, and future database implementations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or graduate work including a strong emphasis in data science, statistics, information systems
• Working knowledge in several of the following: python, SQL, bash scripting, git/github, docker, and cloud services (aws or google). Other languages like R, GO, julia are a plus but not required
• Previous work in the domains of medicine or biological sciences is helpful, but not required
• Exceptional organizational skills and superb attention to detail 
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Industry experience in datasets involving biology, translational biology, and/or real world data is a plus
