As a Platform DevOps Cloud Engineer you will be required to build manage and secure a container platform that meets your clients needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities.

Program Mission…

This program will support our US Customs and Immigration Services Cyber Security Defense Services Contract that provides support to Security Engineering Branch of Information Security Division (ISD) of USCIS. We protect USCIS’ IT infrastructure and resources information systems and the information that is used in these environments from cybersecurity threats.

Years of Experience :

• 5+ years of experience in an infrastructure DevOps or application development role
• 3+ years of experience with container tools including Docker Kubernetes or Rancher
• 3+ years of experience with deploying Kubernetes within a platform or cloud offerings including GCP AWS or Azure
• 2+ years of experience with automation tools like SaltStack Ansible or Puppet

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering Computer Science Information Systems or related technical field is required.

Location : Remote. This position may be staffed at the Government’s facility in Williston VT or in the Washington DC area or other locations in the United States with approval by the Government.

Clearance : Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government Agency clearance. DHS EOD is a major plus.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in an infrastructure DevOps or application development role
• 3+ years of experience with container tools including Docker Kubernetes or Rancher
• 3+ years of experience with deploying Kubernetes within a platform or cloud offerings including GCP AWS or Azure
• 2+ years of experience with automation tools like SaltStack Ansible or Puppet
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments including activities around the automated server or network configurations large-scale software deployments or monitoring and testing such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Hands on experience with software development practices like DevOps DevSecOPs and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins Spinnaker Azure DevOps GitHub).
• Knowledge of container networking monitoring and storage solutions
• Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Java Node.js JSON PHP Perl Python
• Experience with design deployment and management of Cloud environments including AWS or Azure
• Experience in cloud application development (e.g. PaaS Serverless API Management)
• Experience with using or migrating continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline solutions or tools including Jenkins Git or TeamCit
• Knowledge of container security technologies like Twistlock Falco or Clair desired
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS SAP BCDR Security Management Storage Networking OSS containers and Infra as a code technologies)
• Knowledge of native Azure Platform security tools and service tools.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning encryption cloud monitoring firewalls and Credential and Access Management (ICAM).
• Clearance : Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government Agency clearance. DHS EOD is a major plus

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience supporting DHS Agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Able to clearly communicate with both customers and teammates and provide recommendations for improvements to existing software applications
• Experience working in an agile development environment
