Platform Engineer

Amenities is the Digital Membership Platform for healthcare. The US healthcare system is a billion dollar industry and is modeled around providing care at a hefty expense. And yet, most healthcare experiences are awful and loyalty hardly exists in this industry.

Our mission is simple: build loyalty. Amenities Health helps large US health systems to (1) acquire new patients, (2) modernize their tools and (3) win patient loyalty. We build white labeled products & membership services designed to lock-in loyalty (think Amazon Prime or Costco memberships).

As we experience tremendous market demand for our product and on the heels of a successful Series A funding round, we're actively growing the team across sales, marketing, product, engineering, design, and customer success functions.

Compensation: $125,000-150,000/yr base salary, with the addition of equity

Location: Fully Remote, but must be based in the United States

We are seeking 1 talented platform engineer to join our dynamic team. As a platform engineer at Amenities, you will be working with other engineers and our product managers to create and support the build, test, release, and infrastructure automation systems to support our first product, the “digital front door” (DFD). The DFD is a mobile and web app patient portal where patients can schedule appointments, message their care team, view test results, etc.

Responsibilities 

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and QA, to drive system improvements and resolve issues.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team efficiency.

Infrastructure Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and ensure a seamless deployment process.

Release Automation

• Develop and maintain release automation processes, ensuring reliable and repeatable software deployments.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate testing and validation processes within the deployment pipeline.

System Monitoring and Performance Optimization

• Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize system components for maximum efficiency.

Reliability Engineering

• Build and maintain systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to continually improve system reliability.

• A resourceful engineer with a startup mindset
• You’re motivated to build internal platforms from the ground up alongside a small, talented, high-trust team
• You thrive in an environment of autonomy and ownership
• 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer at a high-performing company or team
• Experience with some (all are not required) of the existing technologies listed above
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code concepts (e.g., Terraform)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with observability systems
  • You have experience with, and a passion for, automation
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
