As a Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge automation solutions using cloud technologies. You will leverage your broad technical expertise in areas such as containerization, programming, configuration management, and infrastructure as code to create efficient, scalable, and secure systems. Responsibilities

What you'll do

Design and Implement Automation Solutions: Utilize cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and other tools to create efficient and scalable automation solutions.

Container and Cloud Solutions Engineering: Develop and maintain containerized applications and cloud infrastructure.

Problem Solving with Code: Write code in languages like GoLang, Bash, PowerShell, etc., to address and solve complex problems.

Knowledge Sharing and Consultation: Provide expert consultation and share knowledge with developers to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Infrastructure as Code: Write and maintain Terraform code to manage and provision infrastructure.

CI/CD Pipeline Creation: Develop and manage container-native CI/CD pipelines using Tekton to streamline the development and deployment process.

Qualifications

You'll have

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field of study

Continuous Learning: Strong motivation to learn new technologies and continuously improve skills.

Scripting and Source Control: Experience with scripting, coding, and using source control systems.

Creativity and Initiative: Ability to come up with innovative automated solutions and take the initiative to implement

Even better, you may have

Containerization and Orchestration: Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Programming Proficiency: Proficient in one or more programming languages such as .NET, GoLang, Rust, Java, etc.

Scripting Skills: Skilled in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.

Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.

System Administration: Experience in Linux or Windows system administration or in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role.

Cloud Expertise: Proven experience in designing and building enterprise solutions using cloud technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS).

Reliability and Security: Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, and cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with IP networking, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

Monitoring and Logging: Experience with log aggregation and monitoring tools such as DataDog, Grafana, Nagios, etc.

Virtualization Technologies: Good knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMWare, VirtualBox, Vagrant, etc.

Storage Systems: Understanding of file systems, object stores, and databases.

Agile/DevOps Practices: Proficient in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
