Job Description

As a Platform Engineer, you will implement, enhance, and maintain ATPCO's mainframe environment and supporting products. You will work with both the z/OS and z/VM operating system. You will be an integral member of the Core Platform Engineering team that oversees the reliability, availability, security, and continuity of the Core business mainframe environment. 

Administration of z/OS and z/VM operating systems and supporting products.

Implementation and administration of BMS’s Control-M suite of products.

Implement, administer, and troubleshoot IBM utilities.

Administration of IBM’s System Managed Storage (SMS.)

Administration of Unix System Services.

Implementation and administration of $AVRS sysout archival tool.

Implementation and support of BMC’s Mainview suite of monitoring tool.

Implementation and support of VTAM and other network functions.

Work with ServiceNow, Splunk On-Call, and Jira for project and task tracking.

Knowledge & Experience 

z/OS and z/VM administration, automation, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.

Control-M implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.

Experience with IBM SMP/E.

Experience with REXX scripting language.

Experience with SAS language.

Knowledge of JCL.

Is insatiably curious and likes to learn new technologies

Experience supporting a 24/7 enterprise environment.

Excellent teamwork and troubleshooting skills.
