Platform Engineer - Remote

BigBear.ai is seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our SaaS platform with a focus on artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building cloud-based SaaS solutions using Python, Java, React, and other web technologies. What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain our SaaS platform with a focus on artificial intelligence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Implement best practices for cloud-based software development and deployment.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in AI and SaaS platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

What you need to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent experience along with a degree in a different field may be considered).
• 10 - 12 years relevent experience.
• Proven experience developing cloud-based SaaS solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, React, and other web technologies.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What we'd like you to have

• Prior experience in the defense industry is a plus, with top secret clearance being highly advantageous.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Prior experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
