Platform Engineer, Streaming

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Platform Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Akamai, Serverless Framework, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to design, implement, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure, including deployment pipelines, monitoring and alerting systems, and automation tools. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to ensure that our applications are highly available, scalable, and secure.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure, including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
• Implement and maintain Serverless Framework-based applications and services.
• Design and implement deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using CloudWatch, Splunk, and Datadog.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform.
• Design and Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Argo CD, AWS CodeBuild, and Code Pipeline.
• Work with development teams to ensure that applications are highly available, scalable, and secure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
• Experience with Serverless Framework and Lambda functions.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure deployment and management.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Akamai CDN.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Base Salary: $117,700.00  to $152,900.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
