Elastic Cloud is experiencing huge growth, and we’re continuing to expand our cloud product management team to help shape it. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager who will bring a passion for customer enablement to the core of our platform, focusing on foundational capabilities that are essential to our biggest customers, such as securely integrating our Cloud with the rest of a customer’s applications & infrastructure. As we continue to scale customer adoption and our presence across dozens of regions spanning all the major cloud providers, we need a PM with the technical savvy to work with our engineering teams on the best ways to do so, and the business sense to make a case for what we do next.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Develop business cases and product requirements for our Cloud platform & self-managed products, working closely with the engineering team through the product discovery, design, and development lifecycle
  • Independently define & measure product metrics, which will inform ongoing investment & product prioritization decisions
  • Investigate key AWS, Azure, and GCP services that align with our solutions, then partner with engineering teams on integration requirements and delivery
  • Work closely with our UI/UX team on crafting human-centered customer experiences
  • Understand customer needs & Jobs-To-Be-Done by interacting directly with customers, studying competitors, and reading & understanding support cases
  • Support product marketing and sales enablement to craft customer-focused messaging and content
  • Partner with other product managers across the organization in making our Cloud the best place to run everything Elastic
What You Bring Along:
  • You have 5+ years in product management, ideally in a B2B company and/or responsibility for a SaaS/PaaS/IaaS product
  • You have worked on products deployed to public clouds, and ideally products targeted toward software or infrastructure engineers
  • An ability & willingness to dive into the technical understanding of how a product works. Prior experience in engineering isn’t necessary, but is a plus
  • Open source experience and knowledge of the Elastic Stack is also a plus
  • Comfort in rolling up your sleeves and working closely with design and engineering teams to iteratively ship products
  • Experience crafting high quality sales- and customer-facing content including presentations and web copy, as well as partnering with the product marketing team
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  • Experience or willingness to work in a distributed organization
