Our Opportunity

As a Platform Product Manager II, you will apply Product Management Method to prioritize, design, and build software features that customers love to use. The Product Manager II will be working daily with our user experience, engineering, and product management teams within an Agile SCRUM environment to solve key customer problems. As a Platform Product Manager II at AvidXchange, you will be accountable to guiding user experience and engineering teams through clear vision, business requirements, and feature definition.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as a primary subject matter expert for the market problems AvidXchange intends to solve, AvidXchange's SaaS solutions, and AvidXchange's product roadmap.
  • Review and apply key learnings about your customers from qualitative and quantitative customer/market analysis
  • Collaborate with development scrum teams, technology services partners, and lines of business to ensure enough elaboration and understanding of business requirements and expectations, as well as quality and timely delivery.
  • Within an agile delivery environment, engage and work closely with Customers, Product Leaders, and key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into features to solve customer problems.
  • Prioritize and maintain product roadmap, working in collaboration with line of business partners, ensuring feature requirements are well understood by all sides.
  • Actively engage in scrum events at team level and above - stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos etc.
  • Manage and communicate customer value within a release cadence
  • Contribute to training and education of stakeholders and customers in your subject matter areas through demos, customer interactions, and other regular cadences within or outside of AvidXchange.
  • Build relationships with users and stakeholders to understand their business areas and help to develop product roadmaps and strategies that will add additional value to the organization.

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Product Manager and/or Product Owner
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and 2 or more years prior relevant experience
  • Proven experience working in Agile development environment
  • Experience coordinating testing plans while also documenting features and stories from those gaps

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
  • Industry experience preferably in Purchase-to-Pay, AP Automation, ERP Systems, and/or System Integrations.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent preferred
  • Must be intellectually curious and able to analyze and synthesize data across multiple sources
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct deep analysis to build business cases and make data-driven decisions about priority and business value.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior managers
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment; must be able to leverage cross-functional teams to deliver results to meet specific deadlines and shift focus with changing priorities
  • Ability and desire to think creatively to deliver business results
