The Opportunity
The Project Manager plays a key role in the development and delivery of CEO’s platform offerings to support reentry community partners. They will specifically focus on administrative program implementation for initiatives such as funding intermediary services and cash assistance distribution. This individual will coordinate and improve delivery processes and collaborate with CEO’s central functions and program partners to deliver high-quality and efficient programs in support of reentry field building.

Who We Are
The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides employment services to people with recent criminal convictions. Across the United States, over 6,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that supports themselves, their families, and their communities.
What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s to address employment barriers facing the formerly incarcerated following release in New York City has grown into the leading reentry employment organization in the country, where over 25,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996. In 2016, CEO embarked on a 5-year strategic plan to grow to serve 9,000 participants annually.

- You are comfortable speaking and leading discussions in small groups or large audiences with demonstrated experience delivering and/or facilitating in-person and virtual sessions
- You have the attention to detail and strong project management capabilities
- You are comfortable with technology, including Google Suite and Salesforce
- You are adept at partnering with entry- to senior-level staff on high-stakes projects and enthusiastic about building support for reentry and workforce development across a wide range of audiences
- You have excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
- You have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary, detail-oriented roles such as project management, operations, or consulting - experience working in a non-profit or social enterprise environment is a plus
The Nitty-Gritty
Responsibilities of the Project Manager include but are not limited to:
Project Delivery
- Support the delivery of high-quality programs, with opportunity to lead delivery across key activities -- including partner onboarding, fiscal management, and impact reporting
- Coordinate program workflow and support processes for participants, partner organizations, and CEO stakeholders in close collaboration with local partners, CEO central teams, and CEO sites
- Create and use efficient project tools and processes to provide real-time team accountability and tracking of key results
- Maintain organized, detail-oriented plans and notes around partner progress & learning to enable effective and smooth technical assistance delivery
- Coordinate assessment and program development activities working with CEO’s Learning & Impact, Investment & Power Building, and Program Support teams, as well as key external partners
Strategic & Operational Support
- Support the development and operations of CEO’s Platform, including content creation, external market research, policy & data analysis, activity tracking, and workflow optimization
- Serve as a strategic thought partner for the Platform & Product Manager, supporting the creation and testing of effective approaches for developing and scaling CEO’s Platform Strategies
- Develop new organizational capacities for CEO to provide high quality and customized capacity building programs to external partners and other service providers
- Identify emerging best practices and oversee the implementation of innovative solutions based on these and internal needs and priorities
- Coordinate process design and implementation activities working with CEO’s data management, IT, and strategic operations teams
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $57,600 - $72,500/annually CEO's compensation philosophy considers a variety of factors including experience, internal equity, and the labor market associated with the city in which the position is located. This position can be located in any of the cities in which CEO operates. The labor markets associated with the cities in which CEO is based are variable, and the salary range included here reflects this. Our salary offer will fall within this range and will be reflective of the labor market of the city in which the position is based, as well the other factors named above.
