Position Overview:

Our PlatformReliability Engineer for Siemens Mobility Customer Service will be based inChicago, IL and will work with engineering as well as the local maintenance contractorganization team. You will analyzeparts, components, and systems of our locomotives and coaches to continuouslyimprove their reliability. Working to integrateprocesses and results from other workflows and disciplines to develop andpropose appropriate and effective solutions to issue that arise.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Provide in-depth technical and expert productand service support, locally and remotely,
  • Develop, review, and approve technicalspecifications for products and services,
  • Supervise and engage in equipment commissioning,
  • Lead sub-contractors and be accountable fordelivery to scope, schedule and budget,
  • Define, maintain, and communicate keyperformance indicators,
  • Build, maintain, analyze, and continuouslyimprove internal processes and equipment,
  • Analyze data trends to mitigate risks andleverage opportunity,
  • Provide general guidance, train, and supportcolleagues at all levels of the Siemens Mobility, Inc CS organization,
  • Consistently demonstrate solid technicaljudgement and problem-solving competence.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering,
  • 5+ years of reliability engineering experience,
  • General understanding of mechanical &electrical drawings, schematics, and system architecture diagrams,
  • Effective technical communication skills, both verbaland written
  • Setting you apart from others would be a Bachelorsdegree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with reliability experience in rail,mining or other heavy industries along with a PMP and Six Sigma training orcertification.

The base salary range for this position in Chicago, IL is $78,500-$134,600. The actual salary/wage offered may be loweror higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, andqualifications.
