Platform System Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform System Engineer to join our team to architect, build, and maintain the interface between applications and the Infrastructure as a Service they reside on in support of large-scale government programs. As a Platform System Engineer, you will interact closely with DevOps stakeholders developing the IaaS and customer stakeholders bringing applications to reside on IaaS. This is a hybrid position and requires on-site work in King George, VA. 

Requirements: 

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience 

- Five years of Platform System Engineer experience, preferably in the government sector 

- Experience working in a cloud environment 

- Experience developing engineering applications for large organizations 

- Advanced education and application of business analysis techniques and strategy 

- Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications 

Desired Certifications: 

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) 

- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) 

- Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) 

- Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) 

As a Platform System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, optimization, and interoperability of customer applications and the IaaS they reside on. Your holistic understanding of both the IaaS and various applications and ability to integrate them will ensure the success of large-scale government programs. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various stakeholders.
