Senior Associate, Platform & Technical Assistance

The Opportunity

CEO is seeking a results-oriented and social justice-minded individual to join CEO’s Platform team. This team leads the development and delivery of CEO’s capacity building initiatives that focus on supporting the field of reentry organizations nationally. Through innovative administrative & technical assistance offerings, CEO’s Platform team works closely with partners in our community to collectively enhance, scale, and sustain quality reentry support programs.

The Senior Associate will play a key role in the development and delivery of CEO’s platform offerings to support reentry community partners, with a specific focus on technical assistance. This individual will coordinate new & existing partnerships, collaborate with CEO’s experts to synthesize best practices for shared learning, and deliver high-quality technical assistance through a variety of channels.

CEO's Staff Vaccination Policy

Who We Are 

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides employment services to people with recent criminal convictions. Across the United States, over 6,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that supports themselves, their families, and their communities.

What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s to address employment barriers facing the formerly incarcerated following release in New York City has grown into the leading reentry employment organization in the country, where over 25,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996. In 2016, CEO embarked on a 5-year strategic plan to grow to serve 9,000 participants annually.

  • Yu have experience delivering persuasive and compelling decks and presentations in persons and virtually to internal and external audiences
  • You are adept at partnering with entry- to senior-level staff to analyze and synthesize complex concepts and processes, and make those concepts accessible to a wide range of audiences
  • You are comfortable with technology, including Google Suite and Salesforce. Comfort and proficiency in developing effective presentations and tools preferred
  • You have at least 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary roles such as program delivery, operations, or consulting/technical assistance - experience working in a non-profit or social enterprise environment is a plus!

The Nitty-Gritty

Responsibilities of the Senior Associate include but are not limited to:

Technical Assistance Delivery

  • Support the delivery of high-quality technical assistance, with opportunity to lead delivery across key activities -- including webinars, specialized training, and individualized peer support
  • Effectively coordinate and support external relationships with service providers, government entities, and other CEO partners
  • Present on behalf of CEO to external stakeholders to advance field-building efforts for workforce and criminal justice programs, including SNAP E&T
  • Maintain organized, detail-oriented plans and notes around partner progress & learning to enable effective and smooth technical assistance delivery

Collaboration & Content Development

  • Support the development of resource platforms and repositories of best practices to support capacity building for other providers
  • Collaborate with other CEO teams -- such as Policy, Strategy & Innovation, and Program Delivery -- in developing and delivering technical assistance, engaging with internal subject matter experts to inform content and support
  • Prepare persuasive decks, training content and other materials to support field building and technical assistance support for reentry providers

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Support the development and operations of CEO’s Platform, including content creation, external market research, policy & data analysis, activity tracking, and workflow optimization
  • Develop new organizational capacities for CEO to provide high quality and customized training and technical assistance to external partners and other service providers 
  • Draft, assemble, and submit responses to government and foundation Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for technical assistance and capacity building support
  • Coordinate team meetings and external partner meetings and follow-up to ensure timely and effective collaboration

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $57,600 - $72,500/annually CEO's compensation philosophy considers a variety of factors including experience, internal equity, and the labor market associated with the city in which the position is located. This position can be located in any of the cities in which CEO operates. The labor markets associated with the cities in which CEO is based are variable, and the salary range included here reflects this. Our salary offer will fall within this range and will be reflective of the labor market of the city in which the position is based, as well the other factors named above.
