Summary:Plumbing Design Engineer for midsize MEP Consulting Engineering Firm
VP Engineering seeks an experienced Plumbing Design Engineer to join our excellent team of engineers and designers. If you have experience designing plumbing systems for multifamily and commercial buildings, take pride in your problem-solving skills, and have a history of providing top-notch customer service, you’ll be a great fit for this role.
In this position, you will:
· Work with the Design Manager and other designers to maintain design standards and quality control of the plumbing plans.
· Provide direction and guidance to other electrical designers to complete project milestones.
· Work with the Project Manager and Design Manager to ensure that the design documents being produced are correct per all applicable codes, company standards and the clients' wishes.

The ideal candidate has:
· Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting state and local codes, professional publications, and technical data.
· A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university.
· Five (5)+ years related experience in the design of plumbing systems for commercial and/or multifamily buildings.
· Proficiency in ACAD and/or REVIT.
· Knowledge of pressure loss calculations, pump sizing, construction methods, basic fire sprinkler design, equipment specifications, efficiency standards for equipment.
· International Plumbing, Fuel Gas, and Energy Conservation Codes, Uniform Plumbing Code, and NFPA 13/13R knowledge required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
