Job Description

Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA with expertise in construction management (CM), construction-related technology, space planning, and facilities management, seeks a Program Management Information Systems (PMIS) Technical Specialist or Implementation Manager, to provide assistance to the customer in utilizing and integrating new technologies that support engineering and construction projects and programs. This is a role in conjunction with the federal government and will be centered around Kahua and other PMIS software. The ideal candidate will posses the following:Β 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Architecture or engineering disciplines preferred.
  • Must have experience in PMIS systems like the following: Oracle Primavera Unifier, Oracle Primavera Contract Manager, e-Builder and Kahua (preferred).
  • General administration duties for Program Management Information Systems Applications.
  • Experience identifying requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, business process modeling, component diagrams and functional decomposition analysis required.
  • Hands on experience with one or more software products that support the above methodologies required.
  • An understanding of the business use of specific business applications and technologies as well as the business implications of implementing those technologies, including both the business case for using them and the risks associated with their use.
  • Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak with authority on technical issues in various professional settings and to persuade listeners regarding best approach to resolving user's problem (may include communication via telephone, in person, presenting to large groups, community events)

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Projects will require understanding and experience with engineering/construction program and project controls process, capital planning and budgeting process, as well as documentation control, construction and contracts management processes.
  • The work will focus on supporting various Program Management Information Systems including e-Builder, Kahua and potentially Oracle Primavera Unifier, Contract Manager or P6, PMWeb, Procore, Aconex and in-house developed systems.
  • The work will include application deployments and full technical support/administration of these applications in a distributed computing or cloud environment.
  • Further responsibilities include customer support, working with Program/Project Managers and its Sub Consultants
  • Define and document workflows, provide guidance, and implement system needs to optimize and automate project and program controls functions to the extent possible.
  • This candidate must develop relationships, identify opportunities to add value, engage team members as needed, and ensure delivery to clients.
