What You’ll Do

The PMO Project Coordinator– will be responsible for supporting Ascent’s Program Management Office (PMO) by monitoring and reporting on the health and progress of all IT projects, facilitating compliance with PMO policies, onboarding and training new project management staff, and playing a key role in evolving project management tools and methodology.

  • Works on support activities under the direction of the PMO Director, Program Managers and Project Managers.
  • Managing the PMO email mailbox and taking necessary response actions.
  • Organize, attend and participate in project management meetings.
  • Monitoring and follow-up project issues and changes.
  • Monitoring new project requests to ensure they are reviewed for approval in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating new project onboarding using Jira.
  • Tracking the health of all PMO projects and prompting project managers to resolve open issues and mitigate risks.
  • Preparing a variety of reports from the project management platform about the IT project pipeline and demand.
  • Assisting in the creation and coordination of project management training programs and onboarding of new project management staff.
  • Working with project managers to update the forecast status report and to make sure project data is up to date in the project management platform.
  • Perform other project administrative support tasks as required.
  • Maintaining the PMO calendar.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of job experience in coordination, communications, and tracking
  • Experience in Jira & Confluence (the IT project management platform)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Exposure to MS Teams
  • Well versed in project management processes and reporting
  • Skilled at encouraging compliance to policy and procedures
  • Strong ability to prioritize effectively, able to create, manage, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and time sensitive information
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply new processes/technologies
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Talented at building and fostering collaborative relationships

Primary Schedule

8am-5pm EST, Remote
