PMO-Project Management Officer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and driven PMO Manager who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese to join our multinational lithium ion battery company in Fremont, California. As the PMO Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects across different continents and teams. Your expertise in managing projects in an international business environment will be vital to ensuring our continued success in the global marketplace.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the PMO
• Develop and implement project management processes, standards, and best practices
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and team members
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved on time and within budget
• Establish and maintain relationships with teams and business partners across different continents
• Understand and adapt to the project management practices of a company of Asian background
• Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and management, including fluent Mandarin language skills
• Manage project risks and issues, and develop and implement mitigation strategies
• Analyze project performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for executive leadership

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Fluent written, writing, spoken and understanding, in Mandarin Chinese
• 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in an international business environment
• Fluent in Mandarin, both written and spoken
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing project management processes and best practices
• Ability to think strategically and analyze complex information
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
• Experience with project management software tools and systems
