GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Purchase Order Administrator will support the National Purchasing team by submitting and tracking open purchase orders.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Supports buying team & assigned a set of vendors to own from PO creation date to receipt
- Works PO confirmations email to confirm PO's in the system manually, load any tracking notes and forward any PO issues to appropriate staff
- Runs open PO report to send to vendors to get tracking or ETA for open PO lines
- Runs unconfirmed PO report to send to vendors to confirm receipt of PO
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of administrative experience. Experience working with purchase orders highly desirable
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with vendors and employees
- Intermediate to advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience with iSeries software preferred.
