The Role: Come join The Record.Media as an intern for CLICK HERE, a weekly podcast about cybersecurity and intelligence. Each week, host Dina Temple-Raston pulls back the curtain on the shadowy world of ransomware, disinformation campaigns, and cyber operations. We tell stories that help listeners learn how to protect themselves and understand cyberspace.
This is an opportunity for a 20 hours/week internship from January 2023- June 2023
What you’ll do as a Podcast Intern:
- Participate in editorial meetings and pitch story ideas
- Identify potential guests and pre-interview them
- Create content and audiograms for social media to promote the show
- Develop show transcripts
- Identify tape from recorded interviews to include in each episode
- Assist with interview recordings
- Edit audio using Adobe Audition
What you’ll bring as a Podcast Intern:
- Strong journalism and reporting skills
- Self-directed with an ability to set and make deadlines
- Interest in cyber and its role in current events
- Great research and writing skills
- Ability to conduct an interview and identify its highlights
- Social media experience on multiple platforms
- Some experience with audio editing programsÂ
- Excellent communication skills
