Pole Line QC Specialist

Job Description

Cyient Inc. currently has an opening for a Pole Line QC Specialist, responsible for Aerial/Pole Line work in Ontario. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, intelligent individuals with previous pole line engineering experience. Ideal candidates will have previous experience designing multiple OSP telecom projects simultaneously, Pole Make Ready, aerial assessment and underground projects, and be experienced with client software systems including SpidaCalc and Quick Pole.

Candidate must be able to self-manage their workload and work schedule.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree (preferred)
• Experience with Aerial Communications line & poles inspections or design. Using CSA 22.3 No. 1-20 Overhead Systems. and O.Reg. 22/04 guidelines.
• Experience with the following design programs: Quick Pole and SpidaCalc, AutoCad are required.
• Basic MS office (excel and word) skills are also required.
• Should have strong understanding of Design and construction of Fiber Optic Cable for both underground/buried, Aerial desing,
• Experience in creating special permits e.g. MTO, Gas pipeline, water crossing, railway crossings, conservation authority permits etc and conduit design, splice package, construction drawings.
• Basic Knowledge of OLT, Fiber backbone (transport network) and distribution networks (FSA) high level designs is strongly preferred.
