The Policy Administration Lead will provide guidance and support to the Policy Issuance Coordinator (PIC) team by being the primary resource for the team, subject matter expert on related systems and processes, facilitating team meetings, providing training, and completing complex policy transactions. The Policy Issuance Lead will work closely with the manager in reviewing, documenting, adjusting, and training on processes and procedures related to policy administration. In addition, the incumbent will perform required UAT testing for the any system fixes or enhancements as well as complete any transactions necessary for impacted policies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Acts as the lead resource and subject matter expert for PIC team questions and facilitates problem solving/troubleshooting related to business process and systems.
- Schedules and facilitates recurring PIC team meetings to discuss process, procedure, ideas, questions, and documents for future reference.
- Documents and maintains process and workflows performed by Policy Administration team in a central repository.
- Provides feedback, instruction or training to PIC team members as appropriate.
- Processes cancel rewrites for DXC policies.
- Performs User Acceptance Testing in the policy administration systems on a weekly or as needed basis as new fixes or enhancements are promoted. Reports results back to internal and external testing teams.
- Reviews and analyzes impacted policy lists to determine action needed and performs the necessary transactions. Communicates action needed across internal and external departments as necessary.
- Reviews and enters required information into underwriting and policy administration systems to complete submission reservations, policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations and renewals within company and state standards and regulations and prescribed time-frames.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A minimum of two years of industry experience required.
- Ability to comprehend workflows and business operational processes in order to assess requested changes or enhancements.
- Ability to work with a cross-functional team consisting of both peer and management level employees.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exhibits strong independent decision making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Proficiency in remaining MS Office Suite products preferred.
- User acceptance testing experience a plus.
- Experience in AS400, DXC POINT IN J and Microsoft Dynamic CRM systems a plus.
- Experience in insurance helpful but not required.
