Description
Skills:
- Analyze the efficacy of existing policies and create or update policies to support new programs, legislation, strategic direction, etc.
- Influence development of policies that impact software application and system security & data policy and functional areas.
- Review and amend policy drafts and work closely with stakeholders to determine goals and objectives of policies.
- Supports and coordination meetings that may influence policy development or implementation.
- Conduct assessments of existing policies, instructions, guidance, identifies gaps and makes recommendations.
- Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
- Coordinates the writing, review and finalization of technical documents (IT policies, instructions, guidance, memos).
- Assists with IT communications tasks to support updates to existing IT policies or new policies across the agency.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree; 5+ years of experience
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience with Federal IT legislation, regulations and Executive Orders
- Experience coordinating policies, directives, memorandums within the federal government
- Strong Technical Writing experience
