Policy Specialist

Scion is paving a path in student living and we're seeking a talented Policy Specialist to join us in executing our vision. This position will collaborate with company stakeholders to develop, maintain and uphold the integrity of Scion's policies, to mitigate risk.

The Policy Specialist provides structure and synthesizes concepts into concise, digestible formats. This role demands advanced communication skills, strong attention to detail, and an aptitude for project management. 

• Plan, design, and conduct policy and procedure research, using multiple research formats.
• Develop, prepare and/or maintain documentation pertaining to Scion processes, systems operation, and third-party software.
• Liaise with stakeholders to accomplish cross functional standardization of Scion policies and procedures.
• Maintain a broad knowledge of web and internet technology and authoring software pertaining to strategic communication and policy research and development.
• Ensure policy integrity, including archiving outdated policies in a timely manner, and ensure accessibility for all team members.
• Develop recordkeeping procedures and manage appropriate records and policy documentation in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
• Co-manage the Learning and Development Intranet page.
• Collaborate with business groups to identify obstacles in policies and procedures.

• 1-3 years of corporate business experience
• Previous experience in policy creation and compliance understanding
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven advanced communication and problem-solving skills
• Advanced reading proficiency, ability to identify and examine the details
• Strong project and time management skills
• Mature interpersonal approach and strong collaboration skills
• Analytical and resourceful mindset

• Job location is based at Scion's Chicago corporate headquarters.
• Working hours consist of standard daytime business hours.
