Sales Account Representative - Pork Inside Sales

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Sales Account Representative for our Retail Pork Inside Sales team located in our Fort Worth, Texas sales office.

Job Purpose: Primary responsibilities include managing regional retail, foodservice, and distributor accounts, developing new business with targeted accounts, and working together to manage profitability for all parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage JBS's current and future retail accounts
  • Develop new accounts
  • Build customer relationships.
  • Use product and market knowledge to generate sales
  • Determine customer needs and match new product and programs to address account goals.
  • Give pricing quotes and modify prices, as necessary, to deal with specific customer needs.
  • Collaborate with field sales teams to target new accounts and attain regular business; as well as, develop existing accounts and move up the value chain.
  • Increase converted/value added sales throughout entire customer base.
  • Work with margin management to maximize sales margin.
  • Contact accounts daily to discuss the availability and pricing of individual products to boost daily sales.
  • Understand industry trends/market conditions, by being able to communicate effectively.
  • Collaborate with inter-company departments on sales projects.
  • Coordinate with margin management, operations, scheduling, traffic, and load tying to ensure all order information is complete and accurate.
  • Utilize reports from the business analysis group to grow sales, increase profitability, and improve efficiencies.
  • Thorough understanding of entire customer organizational structure and merchandising strategy.
  • Understand all accounts in department to make the team stronger.
  • Responsible for understanding accounts in depth to manage: Payment Terms, Credit, Claims, Service, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree preferred with a major in one of the following: Agri Business, Meat Science, Business, Marketing, Ag Econ or Animal Science.
  • Minimum 3 years or more previous sales experience in retail grocery or comparable field.
  • Experience in prior meat sales required.
  • Prior premium pork sales experience highly desired.
  • Previous account relationships a positive.
  • Bilingual strongly preferred-Spanish.
  • Excellent phone and strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail Oriented, with strong organizational skills, motivation and the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment as a self starter.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Office Environment.
  • 40+ hours per week.
  • Must be willing to travel-5%.
  • Microsoft Office applications a must.
  • Strong culture fit, team player and possesses a team mentality.
