Position Description

Portal Control is responsible for processing incoming quote requests via our digital pricing engine, Tranzact. The Portal Control will troubleshoot errors and work with the account and product teams to ensure pricing is provided within the expected SLA. The associate will also be responsible for providing valuable input around automation, reporting any outstanding issues or bugs to the responsible party and advocating for the sustainability and growth of the platform. 

Responsibilities

  • Understand and navigate error codes as they pertain to the digital quoting process

  • Act as liaison between quality assurance teams, customers, and sales associates in regard to digital quote support

  • Task product, solution engineers, OSP, FE, and sales teams when needed

  • Review on network vs off-network buildings and locations as they pertain to digital quoting

  • Create Cost Estimate Trackers in relation to digital quoting

  • Set appropriate status and sub-status of quotes

  • Provide Tranzact (Zayo’s Pricing Engine and Support Management tool) Demos, as needed 

  • Review public quoting and report new leads to sales teams

  • Meet defined quoting SLA 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2-4 years in telecom space preferred

  • At least 2-years experience in the Customer Service role

  • Salesforce experience preferred

  • Attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities

  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner

  • Desire to understand processes, identify improvements, and implement change

  • Basic understanding of telecommunications products

 

Base pay range: $20.00 - $22.00/hour, commensurate with experience.
