Portfolio Analyst
Job Description
Geode Capital Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join our Quantitative Research & Portfolio Analytics team. The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for conducting a wide variety of portfolio analysis including performance, attribution, time series and return decomposition/factors related tasks. The role reports directly to the Head of Quantitative Research and Portfolio Analytics.
This is a hybrid work environment opportunity with requirement of 3 days in the office per week.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of investment performance and attribution, including: compilation, research, validation, and analysis
- Preparation and review of investor, client and internal reporting
- Interpret and provide insights into performance results including market and other outside factors
- Maintain proprietary performance database
- Manage performance of fund benchmarks and composites
- Maintaining internal controls and thorough documentation of policies and procedures
- Respond to performance enquiries from the investment staff and other ad-hoc requests
Position Requirements
- 2-4 years of prior experience working in a daily fund accounting or performance position
- Knowledge of performance attribution and characteristics including benchmarks and composition
- Knowledge of finance/accounting principles, practices and reporting
- Knowledge of and experience with equity markets, ETFs, derivatives, tax-efficient and hedge funds
- Knowledge of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) preferred
- Solid understanding and experience with Excel; experience with SQL preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required
- Familiarity with Programming language such as Python and visualization tools like Tableau preferred
- Certificate in Performance Measurement {CIPM) designation preferred
