The Portfolio Leader enables business success through engagement of business stakeholders and partnership with Construction Industries IT Engagement Managers to deliver strategic planning and cohesive IT portfolio prioritization, management and delivery. As a steward of Construction Industries core technology capabilities and Caterpillar IT solution prioritization / delivery, the Portfolio Leader works closely with business leaders and Caterpillar IT colleagues to envision, define and align Construction Industries initiatives that deliver the greatest customer value and support technology objectives. This business-minded, technology-skilled program and portfolio leader provides expert planning and trusted delivery across Construction Industries divisions and together with Caterpillar IT. This savvy, business-minded, technology-delivery focused leader works with business stakeholders, Construction Industries IT (CI-IT) Engagement Managers, CI-IT Business Architect as well as Caterpillar IT colleagues to provide expert portfolio / program / project prioritization and on-going project oversight, clear communications and astute project delivery management. A bridge between Caterpillar Construction Industries and Caterpillar IT
This savvy leader will be expected to form valuable relationships and enable business value to Construction Industries business unit, while operating as a key member of the Caterpillar IT organization.
Job Summary
This exciting role actively operates / leads at the nexus of business value and technology optimization, partnering with Construction Industries IT Engagement Managers (Divisional CIOs) as well as a new Business Architect to cohesively provide value across these key functions:

• Technology Strategy Leadership: Drive tangible business value through definition of achievable portfolio priorities and oversight of business relevant technology roadmap that enable business / IT strategy & objectives.
• Solution Leadership: Identify, vet, plan and manage solution roadmap, actively monitoring delivery of technology transformation, targeted innovation programs as well as day-to-day project management leadership to achieve business / IT objectives.
• Talent Leadership & Communications: Provide cross-functional / cross-organizational IT leadership to actively enable the business and proactively solve business challenges.
• Operations Leadership : Protect the brand and operational stability / health through active facility / site-level IT leadership.

What You Will Do:
The Portfolio Leader is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and tracking of CI-IT portfolio of projects. This role involves managing the overall CI-IT project portfolio to ensure alignment with business objectives, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Portfolio Leader works closely with Construction Industries business stakeholders as well as CI-IT Engagement Managers, Business Architect, Caterpillar IT, project managers, and other stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and improve project outcomes.

• Cohesive Strategy / Roadmaps : Partner with CI-IT Engagement Managers and Business Architect to define core CI initiatives and the cohesive technology strategy / roadmap required to deliver Construction Industries business / technology goals and objectives.
• Collaborative Engagement : Collaborate with business leaders, and technical teams to define, design, build and maintain a business-relevant technology roadmap to continually deliver IT solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
• Applied Innovation : Apply expert experience in / prioritizing technology programs including transformation, applied innovation and value-add delivery projects, all in support of business / IT value delivery, operational improvement and cost optimization.
• Value Delivery : Partner with IT Engagement Managers (Divisional CIOs), CI-IT Business Architect as well as portfolio / program leaders in Caterpillar IT to provide effective, achievable portfolio prioritization, program management and tangible value delivery.

• The primary locations for this position is Dallas TX
• This position may require 10% travel.
• Sponsorship is not available.
• Travel: This role provides strategic technology program prioritization through delivery support for Construction Industries, including corporate and globally-disperse manufacturing sites. As such, travel to key facilities will be expected to both quickly learn the business and the periodically, especially as strategic / transformation projects become priorities in our multi-year roadmap. Initial travel may include several global locations and then moderate to 2-3 trips per year.
