Job description

Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the successful management of commercial portfolios for commercial lease and loan transactions sourced from equipment manufacturers and value-added resellers. Performs risk management activities to minimize risks while aligning with the Bank's risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and criteria. May provide guidance to other staff members. Utilizes strong knowledge of the risk aspects of a vendor centric model and downstream impacts.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management - Monitors larger balance direct customer exposures and vendors to ensure compliance. Adjudicates new vendor relationships while aligning with the Bank's risk acceptance criteria. Prepares and assesses risk management reports and communicates findings to management.

Vendor Management - Conducts an annual vendor review adhering to the Bank's policies, procedures, and grading criteria. Assists with Fraud identification and prevention.

Investment Strategy - Identifies trends and opportunities that improve the commercial portfolios to improve returns and reduce risk. Make recommendations on value-added credit ideas and strategic solutions for investment issues.

Research - Conducts research and monitors portfolios for performance of vendor relationships, ensuring no deviation between guidelines and actual investments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Portfolio Management or Financial Analysis

- OR -

High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Portfolio Management or Financial Analysis

Additional Requirements:
Advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Commercial credit and/or risk experience

Experience spreading financial statements

Financial statement analysis experience and/or business tax return analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in SQL, Microsoft Access, and ability to create reports and consume large data sets

Vendor risk management

Finance and/or Accounting advanced education
