Portfolio Marketing Manager - 12 Month Contract

Mars has an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Marketing Manager to join us on a 12 month contract basis.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will work closely with other members of the Marketing Team on leading strategic projects from insight led strategy, to idea generation, concept development, budget management, product and pack design, creative processes, brand and market positioning, team and stakeholder engagement and post evaluations. 

This role is responsible for the portfolio management of some of the following iconic brands including MasterFoods®, MasterFoods® Professional, Dolmio®, Ben’s Original®, and Kantong®. In this highly impactful role, you will have the opportunity to drive growth targets as the strategic lead for portfolio growth and the delivery of executional excellence through the management of direct reports and as a member of the One Demand Leadership Team.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor of Business (preferably in Marketing)

• Minimum 8 years marketing/brand or similar experience in FMCG, Retail or highly transferrable fast paced consumable product environment

• Specific experience in fuelling innovation pipelines via NPD strongly preferred.

• Ability work in a highly agile and dynamic environment, nimbly switching between projects while remaining organised and focused on the long-term vision
   

What will be your key responsibilities·

• Financial delivery: Responsibility for the in-year Portfolio Target delivery and lead the management and development of the portfolio 3 year forecast in line with targets and longer term business needs.

• Brand & Category Strategy: Responsible for driving a leadership position within the ambient grocery market and other areas of store/new channels through strong partnerships cross functionally, as well as with key customers.

• Comms strategy: Responsible for development and deployment of integrated communications planning leveraging creative excellence.

• Innovation Management: Responsible for developing the innovation pipeline for the portfolio, from concept ideation to launch. This includes innovation, renovation and value creation projects.

• People and Functional Leadership: Line management of direct reports, and representation of the marketing team on leadership forums including but not exclusive to Food Leadership Group (FLG), One Demand Leadership Group (ODLT), Marketing Leadership Group (MLT), and global forums.
