The Portfolio Project Manager oversees the day-to-day management and execution of multiple organizational projects. Reporting to the Sr Manager of Portfolio Strategy, this role involves translating the project concepts into actionable plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation, monitoring project performance, and facilitating effective communication within and outside the portfolio management team. The PPM is critical in steering the organization's portfolio management efforts, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, aligned with strategic goals, and contributing to the business's overall success. This position requires a seasoned professional with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex challenges in a dynamic business environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Continuously assess and prioritize projects based on their strategic relevance, resource availability, and potential impact.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines, scope, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular project reviews, addressing deviations, and making data-driven decisions to optimize project outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department heads to allocate resources effectively across assigned projects, ensuring optimal talent and budget.
- Monitor resource constraints, resolve conflicts, and proactively address resource-related challenges.
- Identify potential risks and challenges within your projects and develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and enhanced project delivery.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the portfolio management function.
- Develop a library of project templates, tools, and post-mortems for cross-functional teams.
Who You Are:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Need to Have:
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in management, project management, or a related role.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management software (we use Monday).
Nice to Have:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.

Location: NYC or Remote
At Pair, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The pay range for this position is expected to be between $114,000 - $129,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
