About the Role
The Strategy & Planning Associate responsible for Portfolio Strategy will partner with business leaders to provide strategic, operational and analytical guidance for the Uber Mobility Brazil leadership. In this role, you will be an integral part in supporting the Brazil leadership team with the strategic decision-making process by building our Portfolio Strategy vision, partnering with the Product leads to build a cohesive Portfolio Strategy for each type of city, focusing on understanding the market segments that our portfolio serves and the value it creates to tackle the most prominent user needs. Also, leading our monthly and annual new products forecasting process, translating our financial into operational targets and understanding and addressing bottlenecks that may harm our capacity to deliver our plans.

What you'll do:
- Portfolio Strategy: build the multi-product and multi-city vision, defining the value our portfolio creates for users and for the company on the different city profiles
- Strategic Ownership: Help define the business' short and long term strategy, working closely with and advising business leaders across the company on topics ranging from specific analyses to annual planning to multi-year visions
- Problem Solving & Business Sense: Structure and tackle ambiguous, real-world problems, using Uber's rich dataset and external data sources. Identify business necessities and lead proposed solutions
- Project/Program Management and Stakeholder Management: Be the glue that brings teams together to ensure critical initiatives reach our partners and customers. Be a hustling multi-tasker, driving cross-functional groups to decisions on strategically important questions. Be able to analyze the whole picture when leading several projects around a common initiative, keeping teams aligned to business objectives
- Governance: Develop and coordinate governance and accountability models to ensure that teams are on track to achieve goals and course accurately as needed. Help to drive the vision for what the organizational structure should look like and ensure that the organization has clear roles and responsibilities by team
- Planning & Forecasting: Lead monthly and annual planning for new products, which includes crafting a compelling country strategic narrative, identifying headline goals, projecting our main operational metrics and partnering with cross functional teams to determine corresponding OKRs in an integrated and cohesive manner.
What you'll need:
- Education: We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply
- Years of Experience/Industry: 3+ years in strategy, consulting, investment banking or business intelligence functions.
- Communication: Portuguese and English proficiency. Able to interpret and present data to various audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner
- Adaptability: Ability to work and efficiently accomplish multiple tasks in parallel, and deliver results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Data-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
- Analytical Expertise: Strong quantitative skills using Excel/Google Sheets
- Planning & Organization: Excellent organizational skills. Ability to build detailed project plans with project stages, landmarks, basic interdependencies, and owners
- Self-starter attitude - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
- SQL, expertise on coding, Python or other programming languages
