The purpose of the Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) Position Leader (PL) is to serve as an ambassador for, and functional expert of, the CIS cohort, including Lead CISs, Senior CISs, and field Population Health Associates. The CIS PL focuses on enabling the success and health of the role cohort, through a standardized program of elements key to team member lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding/training, engagement, retention, and advancement. The CIS PL collaborates with leaders across the organization to ensure the effectiveness of team based workflows and training.
The CIS Position Leader will report to the Population Health Director (PHD) Position Leader on the Population Health Team, with a dotted line to the Position Leader Team within CO&L.

Role Description:

The CIS PL collaborates with leaders across the organization to ensure the effectiveness of team based workflows and training.
The CIS Position Leader will report to the Population Health Director (PHD) Position Leader on the Population Health Team, with a dotted line to the Position Leader Team within CO&L.
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor cohort "health" and lead action planning to recruit, train, engage, retain, and advance the success of Oakies
- Develop recruitment tools to accurately reflect what it means to be an Oaky and perform in the role
- Optimize onboarding to ensure the training exercises prepare CIS to do their job well
- Collaborate with Program Owners, the Learning Team, Talent Acquisitions, and leaders across the organization to represent the cohort's interests when designing and updating processes
- Participate in regional and organizational efforts to invest in and advance CIS cohort through workshops, feedback sessions and surveys
- Communicate organizational updates and insights in a digestible way
- Other duties, as assigned
What are we looking for?
Required:
- Subject matter expert in all CIS training materials including charting, clinic workflows, clinical documentation improvement (risk adjustment), note compliance, monthly clinical documentation review sessions, Daily Huddles, Canopy and Greenway
- At least 1 year CIS experience
- Someone who embodies being "Oaky"
- US work authorization
Strongly Preferred:
- At least 1 year Senior CIS experience
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Google Apps, project management
- Strong communication skills
- Able to proactively identify and overcome roadblocks with minimal guidance
- Able to collaborate across teams
- Able to identify and analyze problems in order to generate and evaluates alternative solutions
- Able to adapt to important process changes in a timely and positive manner
