The Role
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The Post Production Coordinator, Editorial Video (full-time, salary, regular) is responsible for assisting Post Production Producers in all aspects of post production for MotorTrend Group’s short- & mid-form video operations. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Post Producer with scheduling post production processes such as prep, editing, voiceover sessions, sound mixing, & color correction.
- Upkeep tracking documents and communicate project updates to key stakeholders including creative directors, editors, assistant editors, motion graphics artists, & finishers.
- Facilitate transfer of assets needed for prep, editing, graphics, color correction, & sound mixing between project-based personnel.
- Initiate interdepartmental requests such as thumbnails, titles & descriptions, vehicle spec info, & other deliverables.
- Quality control of all short- & mid-form video deliverables prior to delivery & trafficking.
- Support with any media asset management needs, including organizing media files, uploading to delivery platforms, and other requests as needed.
- Deliver final assets to interdepartmental stakeholders.
- Schedule and maintain a regular archiving workflow of footage & projects.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.Â
Education/Experience:
- 1-3 years previous experience in video/television post production, or equivalent education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong command of project details, self-motivated, with excellent task prioritization skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proficient in Mac OSX, Microsoft Office products, Google products (particularly Drive), & other basic computer applications
- Working understanding of video file formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and other common video specifications
- Experience with non-linear editing systems, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, a plus
- Baseline understanding, interest, or experience in the automotive industry a plus

- The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

- Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of MotorTrend's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, MotorTrend provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
