Post Review Specialist
Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Post Review Specialist is responsible for the review and interpretation of various types of commercial, consumer, and mortgage loan documentation requirements to ensure legal, regulatory and bank policy compliance for proper perfection of the bank's lien on collateral. This role will perform post booking review to cite exceptions for missing/inaccurate documents as well as clear the exceptions when proper documentation is provided. This position is also responsible for processing lien releases within the established Service Level Agreement.
Job Responsibilities:
1.
Performs review / input of loan documentation as part of collateral management; identify errors or discrepancies and initiate corrective actions to ensure file integrity.
2.
Cites exceptions in tracking system for missing or inaccurate loan documentation.
3.
Monitors collateral exception folder(s) for receipt of items directly from lending personnel within the bank or outside sources and updates information in tracking system.
4.
Prepare and record terminations and other release lien documents on paid out loans.
5.
Prepare and record UCC continuations on active loans.
6.
Review Original Loan Documentation to satisfy perfection requirements
7.
Establish, foster, and maintain strong and positive working relationships within Loan Operations, Lending Operations, and other business partners. Provide a high level of customer service when responding to internal departments to resolve issues.
8.
Attend all BSA training (at least annual) offered through the bank. More frequent and/or specific training may be required, depending on job responsibilities. Perform job responsibilities to ensure the bank's compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures, which include detecting potential suspicious activity and reporting such activity to the BSA Officer and may include gathering and entering data into systems for monitoring and reporting.
Note: Incumbent may be asked to perform other non-essential duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Experience
- 1-3 years' financial industry experience preferred
- Consumer and Commercial Loan documentation experience required
- Good organizational skills with detail orientation
- Ability to understand loan policy, interpret necessary documentation actions and ensure compliance
- Good personal computer skills with demonstrative knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, Adobe, and E-mail
- Must have prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to meet turnaround and deadline requirements
Licenses/Certifications
Public Notary (company to provide)

Customarily and regularly direct the work of at least 2 or more full-time employees or their equivalent (1 full-time employee at 40 and 2 half-time employees at 20 hours each , are equivalent to 2 full-time employees).
Authority to hire or fire other employees, or makes suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing , advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other employees are given weight.
