Power Apps and Power BI Developer

Ripple Effect is looking for a Power Platform Developer with 6 years of experience to support our client's mission. This role will work closely with the Digital Transformation Division to help develop, architect, monitor, optimize, configure, document, troubleshoot, and maintains business solutions in the Microsoft suite of applications.

• Salary Range: $82,000 to $87,000 per year (how we pay and promote)

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions which address a range of business needs including portals, workflows, forms, collaboration sites, and document management utilizing tools that include Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365
• Create Power BI reports and dashboards
• Develop Power Apps solutions, including custom business applications using canvas apps and model-driven apps, to address specific organizational needs; implement complex logic, workflows, and integrations within Power Apps, utilizing formulas and expressions; customize app layouts, forms, and controls to ensure an intuitive user experience; and conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in Power Apps solutions
• Create and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards, including design and develop interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations; perform data modeling and transformation activities to ensure accurate and efficient data representation; implement appropriate data security measures and access controls to safeguard sensitive information; optimize report performance and data refresh schedules for optimal user experience
• Develop and maintain SharePoint sites and workflows
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, user guides, operating instruction, SOPs, and training materials, to ensure effective solution implementation and user adoption
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data analysts, and IT professionals, to understand business processes and requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, iterate on solutions for system improvements to improve efficiency and end-user experience, streamline system management, and continuously improve the business applications and environments
• Migrate on-prem solutions/applications/workloads to cloud solutions
• Effectively communicate project status and develop reports and presentation materials for clients
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• 6 years of experience in related area

Basic Requirements

• Experience developing applications using Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently, including prioritization, and knowledge of when to seek assistance in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to pass an IRS and federal background check
• Able to write professional emails and communicate clearly

Skills That Set You Apart

• Advanced skills in Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint user interface development
• Database experience with an ability to access and manipulate significant amounts of complex data
• Experience working directly with clients to develop solutions in response to their needs
• Experience with requirements gathering, user testing, QC process, and troubleshooting
• Experience developing and delivering excellent presentation materials
• Highly motivated with a passion for developing cutting-edge solutions in the Microsoft technology stack
• Ability to effectively utilize established one or more of the following development tools, guidelines, and conventions: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps .NET Framework, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, ASP .NET, MVC, SQL Server, Web APIs, C#, PowerShell, REST Services, and Microsoft Graph
• Strong familiarity with security, privacy, and legal/regulatory compliance controls relevant to cloud services, preferably within government contracting space
