Job Description

ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking aPower BI Business Solutions Developer to support a NASA contract inHampton, VA.

Responsibilities:

ASRC Federal is seeking a PowerBI developer to work on a small team to build solutions for an Agency of users. This contributor will work on a team to develop PowerBI widgets, integrate feeds from SharePoint and PowerApps, utilize an existing and changing model, as well as improve the user experience through application enhancements.

• Support scope development for data-informed solutions to questions posed at all levels of NASA.
• Build report in PowerBI utilizing an existing and changing model.
• Develop new and specific PowerBI tools and widgets that will meet the Agency's needs.
• Estimate time to complete work. Communicate challenges clearly and effectively so they can be addressed by the discipline and modeling teams. Meet deadlines and support testing to ensure successful product rollouts.
• Maintain documentation and utilize a tracking tool to communicate development progress on scoped and approved items.
• Assist in migration from traditional formats into database utilization for both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Design solutions based on established patterns and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management.
• Propose innovative solutions to meet the requests of the customers.
• Attend meetings with the customers, subject matter experts, project team, and user community.

Requirements

• Experience integrating with SharePoint and PowerApps development a plus.
• Analytical skills to discover business problems, identify possible causes, and design quick and effective solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint (hosted and online).
• Must be able to work in a team setting with subject matter expert collaborators to develop based on their identified needs.
• Ability to travel as needed
• Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree and six years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
