Compensation: $76.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance. Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $ 175,000.00

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Engineer with a strong background in programming, data integration, and dashboard creation. This role involves onboarding and integrating data from MongoDB into Power BI to support a cybersecurity vulnerability and asset repository. The ideal candidate will have experience programmatically connecting MongoDB to Power BI and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SLC). Additionally, experience with Python and scripting for data automation, and integrating Active Directory groups into asset roles is required.
Responsibilities:

• Data Integration and Onboarding:
  
  • Programmatically integrate and onboard data from MongoDB into Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain data connections to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Automate data loads using Python and scripting to streamline processes.
• Dashboard Development:
  
  • Design and build intuitive user interface dashboards in Power BI for cybersecurity vulnerability and asset repository.
  • Create dynamic and interactive visualizations to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
• Active Directory Integration:
  
  • Integrate Active Directory groups into asset roles within Power BI.
  • Manage user permissions and access controls based on Active Directory roles.
• Documentation and Training:
  
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, dashboard usage, and maintenance.
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders.
• Software Development Lifecycle:
  
  • Apply a strong understanding of the SLC to manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.

Requirements:

• Education:
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience:
  
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Power BI and MongoDB integration.
  • Proven experience programmatically integrating MongoDB data into Power BI (beyond using Power BI Desktop).
  • Hands-on experience with Python and scripting for data automation.
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and M query language.
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB and its integration with other systems.
  • Experience with Python and scripting for data processing and automation.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and role-based access controls.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SLC) methodologies.
